What exactly do they check? I mean we were told this : " life insurance medical exam. The examiner will meet you at your home, your office, or at the examiner?s office?you choose where you will be most comfortable. " What kind of exam do they give you for life insurance in your own home? do not they screen for cancers and etc? Or nothing like that? Typically if it's a basic "para - medical", they will take your blood pressure, ask you a bunch of medical questions, may take a bodily fluid sample saliva, urine or blood, depends on the previously mentioned factors. The bodily fluid is used to screen for things like liver disease or other illnesses that would show up in your fluids. They may also do a resting ECG, but typically that is if they feel you are in a high stress demographic, older, or overweight. Any other tests, like physicals would be done at other facilities if they are required. Your insurance agent should have given you a run down of what they will do and how you should prepare for it IE: fast for 5 - 8 hours before, do not do any rigorous excersize this will produce an increase in protein in your urine, which will raise a red flag for them, drink a fair amount of water before so you can pee when needed, be relaxed so your blood pressure is at a normal pace, etc
